External screen shows only mouse cursor on blackness after connecting docking station

At home, my laptop is connected to a docking station which has a 4k monitor plugged in. When I plugin the docking station into the laptop, the laptop screen goes off and the 4k goes black while showing only the mouse cursor. In this case I have to press Fn+Screen shortcut on the laptop keyboard a couple of times, until the external monitor shows the whole desktop.

Autorandr does not seem to work correctly here. Any clues?

Env: Ubuntu 22.04, Cinnamon desktop, latest autorandr version
