What is the fuction of the showQRcode key?

I could not find any documentation on this, and looking at the code did not help much.

What is this key binding supposed to do? How to use it?

If pdfpc is compiled with support for the REST server, it will display a QR image with connection details. The respective section in the man page will eventually be expanded to cover this and more (as mentioned).
