Cannot read properties of undefined reading 'words' on authenticate call

I am trying to follow the project README, and as far as I know I have setup everything needed.

When I submit the login form to the action, the auth.authenticate('email-link', ...) call in the action fails with this error in the crypto module:

Presumably this is being called from inside the email-link provider, how can I troubleshoot this?

It turns out the environment variable I was using to set the secret in the strategy config had a typo and consequently the secret was then left unset.

Setting the secret correctly cleared this error.
