Your Environment

  • Uploader Version Number: 0.7.1
  • Your Android Phone Model Name (e.g. Samsung J1 Ace): Google Pixel 3
  • Android Version Number (e.g. use 4.4 for 4.4.4): 10 (5th May 2020 security update)
  • Network Connection at the time the issue occurred (Wi-Fi, Mobile): N/A
  • (if relevant) Nightscout website version (e.g. 0.8.4 Funnel cake, master / dev branch): N/A

Brief Explanation of Issue

After installing the latest android security update the contour next link is no longer detected.
Nothing is shown in the log in the uploader when the device is connected.
Clicking "Read data now" returns "USB connection error. Is the Contour Next Link plugged in?"

Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)

Upgrade a previously working setup with the latest android security update.

Try "stop collecting" in the uploader, remove the CNL, restart phone. Give it a minute to fully boot up and insert the CNL. The phone should do something on insert, either start the app or ask for permission. If not the phone has stopped recognizing the CNL and you should check through your phone settings for any permission changes that google may have added.
