This is not a bug.
Just a request for more functionality.

I have a 600series uploader. Feeding a NightScout app and using Pushover.
This works fantasically.
We miss one functionality. And that is that we would like to configure announcements via Pushover.
More specific. We have the 670g. The pump reports that the treatment is continued in Safe mode - primarily due to the fact that basal levels are zero for too long. After 90 minutes in Safe mode, the pump gives an alarm.
When this happens at night, my son awakes due to this alarm.
However, if we would be able to receive the announcement of the pump, then the alarm is prevented -> my son sleept through the night.
I know that the 600 series pick up these announcements already - as i can see them in Nightscout. However, turning this announcement into an alarm form Nightscout seems impossible for me.

I have checked version of 600series - i have latest version.

Are you using Pushover via the uploader or from your Nightscout server?

The uploader can send a "auto mode exit" message to you when the pump has gone to safe mode. Note these alerts are based on them being active at the time of polling where they have not been acknowledged by the user ie missed or ignored.

Hi Pogman
thanks for your swift response.
I am using Pushover via uploader.
In 670G there are following stages
a. in auto-mode - close loop
b. in auto-mode - in safe mode - basal program being used based on previous experience (no closed loop)
c. manual mode

Now, the notification is done in phase c. Which works very well.
However , at the same time the pump will give alarm. Which will wake up my son, when the alarm is set during night.

I am suggesting that uploader/pushover sends notification in phase-b. This phase b is a specific status, which is already specified, as i can see it in Nightscout.

Hopefully, this clarifies, what i mean ............

Have you tried using the "auto mode stopped" alert type that's available in the pushover settings menu?

This is off by default, I can't remember if this should trigger the alert your looking for, it triggers this when the basal has returned to using the normal patterns.

yes, that is the one i am referring to.
that is treated as an alert. Which is , as it should.

the other one is just an announcement. Therefor, the pump itself does not give an alarm.

Ok not everything that's seen on the pump is recorded directly in the history data which is used to drive everything. Saying that, the uploader will send transition based alerts when enabled for active / stopped with the reason why, these are not pump alerts as such. The uploader does not know what the pump is showing directly on it's screen.

If it's any help these are available as active/stopped messages that can be sent to you:
"Into active due to sensor calibration"
"Out of active due to user override"
"Out of active due to alarm"
"Out of active due to timeout from safe basal"
"Out of active due to prolonged high SG"

Also given these are not alarms the uploader will not know during a normal short poll that a transition has occurred and to retrieve history. They will get triggered when history is pulled from other triggering events... so they may be delayed.

yes, i know that.

these messages are not what i meant/require, as there are not related to the specific event.
So, i know that the current setup will not provide a solution for my need. That is why i suggested new functionality.

and to answer your other question. A delay is not a problem. There are 90 minutes before my child wakes up, by the alarm at the pump. As long as the delay is shorter than this 90 minutes, it will be perfect.

I know that the alternative would be a start the Pushover trigger at the NS-app. However, i am not able to get this working.

Maybe I'm missing something about your request :)
Is this not what your looking for: "Out of active due to timeout from safe basal" ? though maybe it's start of the safe basal period ? this we do not have info from the pump for

can we go 1to1? Than i can share some private info to clarify?

sure... you can message me on Gitter with my username, join this group and I should be in there https://gitter.im/pazaan/decoding-contour-next-link

Though if you can add the info / screenshots with private stuff removed it may help to have a record for future development on any enhancements.

Notes from talking to @eelcosimon

Pump was set to silent mode for auto mode alerts.
NS showed this alert with the (silent) tag and no Pushover alert was issued.
Enabling send silent alerts in the pushover advanced menu will sent this message to follower.

The text in the pushover menu reads: "Silenced unacknowledged sensor alerts can be sent to followers. Pump will stay quiet and follower will be alerted."

This text suggested that ONLY silenced sensor alerts would be sent while ANY silenced pump alerts will be sent.

Remove "sensor" from that text so as not to confuse user.
