The main bitcoin client has supported pruning to save disk-space since v0.12 (https://bitcoin.org/en/release/v0.12.0#wallet-pruning).

It would be nice if pbtc supported the same, if you want to run a "lighter" node for yourself or run multiple nodes of different forks on the same machine.
