Visual bug: Darkest Lariat has some odd looking black lines

Title says it all. Darkest Lariat's animation has some weird looking black lines going down from it. This might be to represent the user's legs, but they don't look at all like the rest of the animation, they flicker, and they're layered under the opposing 'mon while the rest is layered over it.
