@Jonarw thanks for raising this. On my side, definitely up for a clean-up. I'm reasonably busy at the moment, but will try at least to be active in any discussion to keep things moving. Quick probably-not-comprehensive comments:

First of all, I want to apologize for being rather absent from this project lately. I struggle to find much time to dedicate currently, and when I do find some time, I tend to not quite know where to start, as there are currently 19 open PRs, some of which are several years old.
As a personal goal, I would like to be more active in at least handling PRs in a timely manner in order not to discourage any potential future contributions. As a first step I would propose that we try and handle the PRs that are currently open as far as possible. My hope is that I will be able to involve myself more consistently in the future once the pile of unhandled PRs does not seem so high anymore - feel free to remind me of that ;)
Below are some of my thoughts on how we could proceed with the open PRs, but those are just proposals for now to jump-start the discussion. After not being very active for some time, I wouldn't want to barge in and merge a bunch of stuff.
In general, I think PRs should only be open if there is a clear path for them to be closed eventually. Below I made a list of all currently open PRs with proposals on how to proceed on each of them.
Of course this is mainly adressed to @oxyplot/admins, but anybody is welcome to chime in.
Once we have settled on what to do, I will be happy to perform the necessary actions.
