Configured and self-hosted outline. Getting a 502 Bad Gateway Error at the end of the setup

Hello everyone,

I set up Outline on DigitalOcean for my organisation. All the docker containers are running and there are no errors in docker compose logs. However, I see some errors in the Nginx logs:

recv() failed (104: Connection reset by peer) while reading response header from upstream, client: {my ip}, server: {my domain}, request: "GET /favicon.ico HTTP/1.1", upstream: "http://127.0.0.1:3000/favicon.ico", host: {my droplet ip}

upstream prematurely closed connection while reading response header from upstream, client: {my ip}, server: {my domain}, request: "GET / HTTP/2.0", upstream: "http://127.0.0.1:3000/", host: {my droplet ip}

I have tried setting user: root in the docker-compose.yml file and it didn't solve the issue. Would really appreciate any help here.

Try setting:
proxy_pass http://localhost:3000;
in your /etc/nginx/conf.d/outline.conf file. It helped me with 502 error.
