What was your highlight from last year

What is/are the project(s) your Club worked on

TigerOS

What was the most challenging issue that your Club had to deal with

  • People not responding to emails
    • Confirmation of talk/action item/etc.
    • Getting them sent in a timely manner
  • Had to create talks a bit last-minute
  • RIT changed the schedule so people being there on time was an issue

As the Club's leadership, what would be something that you would like to stop doing?

  • Having talks be our only regular activity (by no means do we want to get rid of them, but we want to do more than just talks)

As the Club's leadership, what would be something that you would like to start doing?

  • Outreach outside of our College of Computing (Engineering, Math, Science, Design, etc.)
    • What can you do with Linux/FOSS
    • Club collabs
    • More projects
  • Additional focus on FOSS instead of being almost entirely Linux-specific
  • Pre-planning our schedule instead of "sign up as we go"

As the Club's leadership, what would be something that you would like to continue doing?

  • Getting in guest speakers; more of them would be nice too
  • We've gotten positive momentum going and want to keep it going

Please something that you would like to share with the Open Source Student Network

Just pushed a redesign of our website: https://ritlug.com/
