1.2.0 release to npm

I am a happy user of this software, and I noticed that you've put in the effort to remove some dependencies that have been discontinued and/or contain vulnerabilities and create a new version 1.2.0 out of this.

I was wondering what the reason was for this version to not be published to npm? If there is a way for me to assist, I am happy to help any way I can.
