aenigma v0.7.1:

  • advertised captcha host is set to 127.0.0.1 (value captcha_host in ejabberd.yml)
  • nginx doesnt expose /captcha. (i copied the /admin proxy blog for /captcha in the nginx config)

With these modifications I still can't register accounts, but this might also be a client issue (using dino)

strange, captcha had been thoroughly tested, let me test with dino

I'm having the same issue when trying to register through converse.js

I changed the address in /opt/ejabberd/conf/ejabberd.yml and restarted the ejabbered service
and replicated the admin block in /etc/nginx/conf.d/mydomain.com.conf as suggested
restarted nginx

but the captcha image which is displayed on the registration site is still not showing content, therefore no registration is possible
