Security configs not updating after requesting _nodes/reload_secure_settings

Describe the bug
After applying a new Helm release, I can exec into a master pod and check that the security config yaml are indeed updated yet the changes are not reflected on kibana even after hitting _nodes/reload_secure_settings on POST.

Expected behavior
Security configs change when applying new helm config.
