  • Anything we need to pull into todo?
  • In progress discussion / close issues
  • What do we pull into in progress (if anything)

(Also need to agree on an initial WIP limit)

looking at this issue in a vacuum after time has passed: What standing agenda? Please provide a link to the standing agenda or add it to this issue so we know what we are agreeing to.

If the standing agenda is:

  • Update from last week
  • Targets for this week
  • Blockers/Challenges
  • AOB

Then I do suggest some additions.

I recommend first agenda item be approving the agenda because this reminds people to read it and suggest items that may have been missed.

I recommend the second agenda item be "approve any Pull Requests ready for approval". The intent would be zero to little discussion and a simple unanimous approval. If it takes discussion or there is dissent, then it should get moved to a later section in the agenda. Having this early in the agenda gets us the quick wins for the uncontroversial stuff or the stuff we reached consensus in previous meetings.

I recommend the third agenda item be pull requests that require discussion. These would be time bound and would usually result in action items for changes or would be given a week to sink in and moved to the previous section (ready for approval) for the following week.

Then I'd propose to continue with the rest of the agenda as proposed, working through whatever issues have made progress, etc.
