I made this python script in the mean time. This converts the monolithic books.json into individual files in opf format, creates a directory structure that works with Audio Bookshelf (ABS) and moves my m4b files into the new structure and any pdfs into that directory structure. In Audio Bookshelf I set the scanner for the library to 1. OPF file 2. Folder Structure 3. Audio Metadata 4. Audiobookshelf metadata file 5. doesnt matter after this. I had to make a new library to get this to work. After looking at the ABS meta data file which is also in JSON it seems similar to the books.json except it isnt monolithic. I could convert the books.json to the ABS metadata file, but I got lazy. EDIT: EDIT2: Updated the meta data to better match what ABS uses. I used the data from

It looks like the books.json file contains all of the metadata even metadata not stored in the M4b file. The issue I have is getting OpenAudible to import data directly into something like Audiobookshelf. It would be nice to have a file that can have all the metadata pulled placed with the book and not in a single monolithic file.
Also would it be possible to add the series into the M4b file automatically?
I am guessing this would have to be after the folder structure is figured out.
