There are lots of limits as to what data can be collected about the actual build as even command line parameters can give away information or secrets or PII - tannergooding

People are annoyed by telemetry because they get nothing in return directly - instead of disabling it, make it a site that is itself open. People would be far more willing to leave it enabled if they could actually see the data that it's collecting (and make decisions based on it!)
