  1. Further popularization of this format requires access to a simple and working converter to debian/changelog and RPM.spec %changelog format.

  2. To develop a converter you need to start with a parser. Its reference form would certainly dispel many doubts in use and influence unification.

  3. It would also be worthwhile to develop an aggregate file with translations of the most important terms:

    • Changelog
    • Version
    • Release date
    • Unreleased
    • YANKED
    • Added
    • Changed
    • Deprecated
    • Removed
    • Fixed
    • Security
    • All notable changes to this project will be documented in this file.
    • This project adheres to Semantic Versioning.
    • The format is based on Keep a Changelog.

Without this, it is impossible to make a multilingual parser or generator.

  1. Also missing is a recommendation on how to name files in different languages, such as:
  • CHANGELOG.md
  • CHANGELOG.de.md
  • CHANGELOG.pl.md
