Drag/Drop and Organize Characters and Plots?

If this is already possible, I just don't know how to do it. Is it possible to pick up and move characters in the character panel or plots in the plot panel to organize them? Right now, it seems like each item is sequential, and that once they're added, this order cannot be changed.

I have quite a lot of characters and they have their own plots/micro plots. It is becoming essential to keep them bundled together in groups within their respective importance category.

So I would close this as duplicate except this issue could not be solved by sorting or grouping?
