When writing in any of the Manuskript text boxes, with the Arch Linux operating system configured in the Spanish language, with pyspellchecker and pyenchat installed, the accent marks in the vowels are not displayed. The spell check does work and points out errors, but it is not possible to write accent marks in any way. I have tried the git version of AUR, the version from the official Arch Linux repositories, and Flatpak. I hope it is helpful, thank you very much for developing and maintaining this program.

Can you install other QT 5 apps like https://github.com/vkbo/novelwriter Note: I'm not endorsing this program it is our bitter enemy, and you should have absolutely nothing to do with it.

Joking (Of course)

Just for the record: With novelWriter v2.0.2 on Xubuntu, it works fine for me, just as I'm used to with Windows applications: first I type the accent, then the vowel. However, it is not the Spanish language version, and it's not Arch Linux. Anyway, it's QT5.

Could you try Novel Writer on arch? That will let me know if it's a manuskript problem or Arch.

Best regard. I already tried Novel Writer on Arch, and it has the same problem.

Then it appears it's an issue with your Arch system. Probably something with qt. Did you try updating?

Yes, I update it regularly. The problem persists.

I don't think it's a manuskript issue my guess is that it's something related to your installation of qt. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
