@bjarketol are you one of teh windio maintainers? If so would you mind casting an eye over and seeing if there's commonality? Julian Quick had a rapid look and seems to think there is...

No, I have not worked with WindIO myself, but we use it in the FLOW project which Julian is also in.

I think there are many commonalities, but the scope is much broader in WindIO since it tries to document the whole plant for optimization purposes.

I am not sure how best to reconcile the commonalities though...
