Describe the bug
Hello Everybody!
I´m struggling with a huge problem: I´ve been using NDI from Mac M1MAX to Windows 11 without issues for months, but since some days ago, I noticed some freezes, but nothing special, and also some lag but nothing that would make a big problem.
On Windows 11 I have OBS 30.0.2 using OBS-NDI plugin to capture sources from MAC.
It doesn´t matter if it´s from OBS on MAC, or from other source (like Character Animator) that sends video through NDI: the problem is never on the sending machine, I´ve tested with lots of things, also on the windows (receiving) machine, if I use NDI STUDIO to capture, it does not lag, or freeze. So, on OBS on receiving machine, Windows 11, the plugin OBS-NDI is working normally, but suddently it slows down and then accelerates to "compensate", but then it also freezes, and sometimes it´s 1 second or so, other times it can take a lot to unfreeze. Imagine: if I use NDI STUDIO simultaneously on windows receiving machine to capture sources, I can see that on OBS NDI plugin it stutters and freezes, but on NDI STUDIO it just continues to work normally as intended, fast without lag.
Also, I use on OBS (MAC machine) NDI to send 3 different audio channels from NDI filter on those sources, and I capture the 3 of them on WINDOWS machine, OBS, in 3 different NDI capture sources, and it works flawlessly without lagging. And imagine, I can have one of those audio sources being captured at the same time the video source is being captured also, and even if the video source lags, the audio source just continues to work flawlessly, and those are beig received from NDI, so it's for sure a problem with video capture on OBS-NDI plugin.
I didn´t installed nothing special, i´ve made an update to windows 11 some days ago but nothing special, and I use NDI a lot between the computers, and it was today that I felt a lot of freezes and lagging.
I uninstalled and installed again OBS, I updated OBS-NDI to 4.13 (I am not sure if it was 4.12 or 4.11), I installed NDI tools again, and for example if I use TELEPORT, it simply don´t lag. The only problem for me is that with TELEPORT I can´t have transparency that I use a lot. I also restarted router and switch.
But as I said, I never had any problem, this thing just worked great until today. My windows machine is good, it´s an Intel I5 13600K with 32GB RAM DDR5 5600mhz, motherboard ASUS Z790-A, hard drives are M.2, SSD and HDD but the M.2 is where everything is installed, GPU is Radeon 6600, the OBS is very loaded (its very complex, I have more than 100 scenes, each with a lot of complexity) but it´s so optimized that usually I´m using CPU above 1% (yes, 1%, i´m not mistaken). Well, as I said, it used to work great. Today is lagging like hell!
