Fade-in animation?

Find it not ideal that nightnight is immediately on top of the site. There is no longer any kind of first impression of the host site (which the user came in the first place) ... Would be great to give the host site an optional setting fade-in-animation to reveal a hint of the site and to make the gesture of putting your own site to sleep more explicit.
