:Rocks log missing error

Howdy again,

I ran :Rocks sync and got the following error

(Zen-Mode is actually installed and works okay. All my sync attempts get that error)

Followed instructions and ran :Rocks log

What does the entry in your rocks.toml look like?

:Rocks log primarily provides details about when a luarocks error occurs. In this case, it's rocks.nvim failing to parse the entry in your rocks.toml.

The problem is that you have:

"zen-mode.nvim" = "scm"

but also

[plugins.zen-mode.config]

which are two different entries (with different keys).

If you change it to

[plugins."zen-mode.nvim"]
version = "scm"
config = { plugins = { tmux = { enabled = true },alacritty = { enabled = true, font = "20" } } }

it won't throw any errors.

🤔 I guess that's invalid toml. Try this:

[plugins."zen-mode.nvim"]

Also solving zen-mode problem doesn't solve the issue I made (you closed it). The error message is recursively unhelpful.

Error messages are still WIP 😄

In this case, rocks.nvim probably shouldn't be recommending to look at :Rocks log if it's not a luarocks error.
But that might be quite complex to implement.

Keep in mind that the log is just a log. We need to keep information in there that might be less relevant for users, because it helps developers understand the flow of the logic when the error occurred.
So if there's a log that says, "please run Rocks log", you can safely ignore it 😄
