At least in one place we should mention the NumPy trademarks. They are effectively covered by the NumFOCUS trademark policy and linking that might be good.
In that case, I suspect we could just say that NumPy name, logo, and website are trademarked and the numfocus policy applies: https://numfocus.org/trademark-guidelines

Hello @seberg
Should we mention the trademarks in the footer section?
I can work on this

Maybe. Or maybe just add a two sentence section at the top of "terms of use"?

@seberg What do you think of creating a separate page for the trademark policy? We have one spot remaining in the footer.:)

Sounds fine we can always move it anyway. Just would be nice to have something that can be found really.

It took me a while to remember whether we actually had a trademark agreement and find it. But we do, and it's public, so cross-linking: https://github.com/numpy/archive/blob/main/legal/NumPy%20Trademark%20Assignment%20Agreement.pdf

@rgommers Thank you! I'll make sure we include a link to the agreement in the page about the NumPy trademark policy.
