Firstly, I want to express my immense appreciation for the NX project. It's a fantastic tool that has significantly improved my development workflow, and I'm a huge advocate for its continued success.
However, I've noticed a growing concern that I believe warrants our collective attention. There are an increasing number of issues and pull requests that remain open and unmerged for extended periods. This situation is disheartening, as it not only slows down the progress of the project but also potentially discourages community contributions.
To address this, I propose the following plan:
Prioritization: Establish a clear priority system for issues and pull requests. Critical bugs and security patches should be at the top of the list, followed by feature enhancements and minor fixes.
Community Involvement: Encourage more community involvement in the review process.
Automated Triage: Implement an automated system to triage issues and pull requests based on certain criteria (e.g., age, number of comments, labels). This can help maintainers quickly identify items that need urgent attention.
Regular Updates: Provide regular updates on the status of the backlog. Transparency about what's being worked on and what's next can help manage expectations and keep the community engaged.
I believe that by implementing these strategies, we can significantly improve the efficiency of the NX project's development process and foster a more vibrant and active community.
Thank you for considering these suggestions. I look forward to contributing to the bright future of the NX project.
