memacs-arbtt

arbtt is a cross-platform, completely automatic time tracker.

Current status

Works for me on Archlinux and Xubuntu 16.04 with arbtt v0.9. Please report any problems you find opening a new issue or writing an email to mankoell@gmail.com.

Using arbtt-stats to dump intervals of tags or categories.

Installation

Make sure you’ve at least arbtt v0.9 installed and configured properly.

Archlinux

You need to use cabal-install:

cabal install arbtt

Ubuntu

sudo apt-get install arbtt

Options

  • --logfile, use this file instead of $HOME/.arbtt/capture.log
  • --categorizefile, use this file instead of $HOME/.arbtt/categorize.cfg
  • --also-inactive, include inactive samples
  • --intervals, list intervals of tag or category (the latter has to end with a colon)

Example Invocation

Depending on your arbtt tags and categories you can also use multiple --intervals (at least one is required) and set the --logfile and --categorizefile paths manually. --also-inactive will include idle times as well. Use --csv to import an already existing stats file.

memacs_arbtt.py --intervals web -o /path/to/arbtt.org_archive

memacs_arbtt.py --intervals Program: -o /path/to/arbtt.org_archive

memacs_arbtt.py --intervals Desktop: --also-inactive -o /path/to/arbtt.org_archive
