Customize default generator #3019

Currently, default generator is make, that is node-gyp configure will generate Makefile for users.

I know some build system allow user to customize the default generator. For example:

export CMAKE_GENERATOR=Ninja
cmake -Bbuild

will generate build.ninja not Makefile.

Can node-gyp provide similar functions?
