As tech moves forward as an industry, we struggle with the same growing problems that have plagued us for over a generation: we refuse to accept the impact of community and emotional health on our work as software developers.

This talk focuses on the NodeBots community, the impact of side projects as a mechanism to create new communities and bolster our careers, and how we as an industry must begin to acknowledge the roles that micro and macro communities in tech have on each and every person in our industry.
