The Life and Times of an Open Source Robotics Library

I first created Raspi IO in April of 2014 to add Raspberry Pi support to the Johnny-Five Node.js robotics library. This project was born from the most unlikely of places: a failed conference talk proposal. The project's history reflects its origins. There have been twists and turns, with plenty of interesting people and challenges along the way.

This talk covers the history of the project, and what I've learned about maintaining a successful open source project. Learn about the importance of documentation, encouraging contributions, and how open source is all about people.
