It would be nice if you could use the new image caching feature with other propagation methods. There would need to be some method of passing in an md5sum.

Hey,
Can you specify requirements in order to implement image caching? And some scenarious of use.
Is this deduplication?

Image caching is already implemented. What needs to be done is detecting when an image in cache is still valid.
