This year @freaktechnik and me are attempting RMLL which are in Brussels.

We have to prepare slides to present Nightingale.

I have posted my old slides for references.

  • In the origin, you should touch on the whole "Songbird SVN closed, they put up a petition asking if users would pay for bugfixes, and then they put up a donation button" story as well...and maybe mention that they're hard to work with on getting the SVN sources.
  • Mention the work with the comete students, even if they didn't all get finished :P
  • Drill down and discuss how we are going to rely only on system deps on linux with version 2.0 forward
  • New features we plan on developing and how we need help to do so (IE unified library addon with other addons to provide integration with last.fm, google music, amazon, pandora, grooveshark, etc)
  • Commitment to Linux first and foremost, but Win and Mac nonetheless
  • Perhaps lead off and give some commit and code statistics? # lines of code in the client, number of client commits counting songbird's - mention that we couldn't stand to see hundreds of man-years and many thousands of commits go to waste with the source repo getting closed
  • Discuss how we are a worldwide projects with developers and contributors all over the world (and want more!)

Have you protected the pad? I can't access it from my phone.
Edit: seems to be an issue with my mobile browser.
