v12.1:
(no I cant build more current due to gstreamer and other glitches)

obviously checks for and link to gstreamer is bugged, so mp3 playback support is out. I was more concerned with ability to mimic iTunes in other ares such as de-duplication of files.(which iTunes couldnt do?)

however, I cant import ANY music.
furthermore when importing audacious(Lin-Amp) m3u file, I get the filename, but no mp3 id3 data in the displayed list of files. This is WAAY wrong.

Most of this data was put there by iTunes itself. Other players can see it. And it should be readable by either file inquiry or m3u data somewhere. The files are never being inquired.

I get a dialog that quits itself and disappears.
Due to severe bugs with debian stretch I am forced to look elsewhere fro a semi-stable version of linux.
