It would be really helpful to also allow a similar "include custom file" logic for the fallback block as for the other vhosts via /etc/nginx/vhost.d/default.
For example, to allow custom error pages for the default return 503;
In my case, it would also require wrapping the return in a location block, otherwise nginx doesn't respect any error_page directives.

Also, if I am missing something here, feel free to point me in the right direction, my current workarounds are by either adding a new custom but nearly identical fallback server block above the current one or modifying the original nginx.tmpl file directly.
