Currently app store ratings are eternal and part of a singular score. The people who most often leave reviews are those who are super happy or super upset. My recommendation to make such ratings more useful by associating them to a particular app release number and particular Nextcloud release number.

4 star ratings for Bookmarks app (4.14.2 release on Nextcloud 23)
3.5 star ratings for Bookmarks app (previous to 4.13.5 release on Nextcloud 20)

Thanks for considering. I realize that isn't very technical, but it is worth considering.

I further propose that old app ratings should deteriorate over time and should no longer be counted at all if they were given for a NC version that is no longer supported. This deterioration rate may also depend on maintainer/dev feedback (like ‘issue solved’) and the timely maintenance of the app (or the lack thereof).

These are related, yes.
