Next-auth / Firebase Integration

Hi all! We're trying to use Next-auth for Firebase, but reading the docs ( https://authjs.dev/reference/firebase-adapter) it actually requires Firestore__ too, which is another layer / product. Yes they have similar names, but we want next-auth to talk to Firebase directly.

Is this possible?
