The attribute validation errors are not user friendly.

Example:

-----> Starting Test Kitchen (v2.4.0)
>>>>>> ------Exception-------
>>>>>> Class: Kitchen::UserError
>>>>>> Message: Kitchen::Verifier::Terraform configuration: systems {:value=>{0=>{:backend=>["is missing"]}}}
