@edouardjamin I think most of the people here would be fine with disabling SIP to use Flashlight. We haven't had SIP for the past 15 years of OS X, why is it suddenly essential?

@Leomund Because Apple suddenly considers it essential to the functions of their OS. You can read up on their arguments elsewhere: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_Integrity_Protection or you can read the linked thread to see how @nate-parrott has already given reasons.

If "most of the people" would be fine with paying no mind to the OS proprietor's suggestions, best practices, and system requirements, then it should be trivial to begin a forked project and prove @nate-parrott wrong for heeding them.

In any case, there's no point in debating about it here. The question has been answered.
