Is it a bug?

  • I know this is an issue with the app, and contacting Mullvad support is not relevant.

I have checked if others have reported this already

  • I have checked the issue tracker to see if others have reported similar issues.

Current Behavior

When mullvad VPN is running but not active or active from a german server (Frankfurt, Berlin), it is impossible to install Extensions in VSCode. If I check out USA as a server, the Extension-Store works. If I completely disable Mullvad and Mullvad-Daemon with the task manager, VSCode runs like a chime.

Expected Behavior

I think it would be nice, if VSCode does not behave like that in combo with Mullvad

Steps to Reproduce

  • Install VSCode (user-based or admin-based)
  • Select a german VPN-Server in Mullvad
  • XHR-Downloads fail
  • Select USA-Server
    • XHR-Downloads work
  • Disable Mullvad completely (if you're in germany)
    • XHR-Downloads work
