When you click the button to toggle the left nav, the nav should receive focus so that keyboard and screen reader users are placed there.

I'm really new to material-ui, but even when I focus the menu I'm not seeing that it supports any sort of keyboard interaction. What should I be expecting to see here?

EDIT: nevermind, I think I see what you were suggesting in #164

@ryanflorence The old menus are deprecated and the new menus can be accessed through keyboard. So closing this issue!

i don't understand why this issue was closed. the reason given:

the new menus can be accessed through keyboard

is not a solution to this issue. the drawer still does not receive focus when opened.
