Are there still any active developers on this project?
I noticed in #1 that php7.0-mcrypt is being used, but it's now deprecated in php 7.1.

Sorry I stopped working on this when I quit eve. The only person I know working on it is meletisf who is making the docs for it.
I think i might have installed mcrypt out of force of habit, it was an old requirement for laravel but is no longer required. You can remove it and the buyback still runs.
