I have been using SMLReader for years to read out my EasyMeter Q3M using a Hichi IR sensor in (almost) real time. My Home Assistant instance picks up the MQTT messages. The whole setup is super stable.

Today I noticed, that the development of this project has progressed quite a lot. Now I'm wondering if I should upgrade from version 1.0.2 to the latest 2.3.0.

Is it possible to just drop the FW inside the config UI?
Is it safe to upgrade straight to 2.3.0 from my low version?
Is it worth the risk? After all, everything is working fine currently.

Thanks again for making this project public. Before I found it, I tried to read out my meter for months, and could not make any progress.
