That was why I was so confused as well, I could not find any reference to those functions in MPDF, only in FPDF. Although MPDF is (was?) based on FPDF, I assumed it would just redirect those calls to FPDF. I guess I will have to dive deeper into this and see what has been going on here. |

As part of a larger scale upgrade from a codebase from PHP 7 to 8 we are updating our external libraries as well.
Currently we are still using MPDF 6.1 to generate a bunch of PDF files, which still works under PHP 7, but is throwing a bunch of warnings, deprecations and errors under PHP 8.3.
We need to update to a newer MPDF library, but I am running into some issues.
The code we have relies on ->getX() and ->getY() calls (combined with SetXY()) to directly write content to the PDF, but those functions don't exist anymore in the latest MPDF versions.
I have looked through the documentation, but I can't find any references to any replacement functions. They seem to come from the underlying FPDF library?
Were those functions silently deprecated?
Is there a replacement for them, or do we need to completely rewrite our PDF generating code from scratch?
