Currently pdf.js is disabled on Metrofox due to the lack of the touch support.

Work is being done on enabling some touch events (currently pinch to zoom), see PR #3708.
I assume that more touch events could easily be added, either in that PR or in follow-up patches, once the basic functionality exists.

Yes, more events can be added easily. See timvandermeij@fe70904#diff-7e1a90662d6b7cb341f0a762ed9a5561R17 for a comprehensive list. transform is used for pinch to zoom.

I could use some help with this PR as I can't figure out why it only works when I add the alert() statement at timvandermeij@fe70904#diff-dd42e9b2d2a652b8e312efa567698aa6R139. Brendan was also confused about this problem. Any ideas are welcome to be posted in that PR.

Any news on this? Especially pinch to zoom? (The PR is closed btw)

Currently pdf.js is disabled on Metrofox due to the lack of the touch support.

Given that "Metrofox" is no longer a thing, and that touch-zooming is already tracked elsewhere; let's close this as a duplicate of issue #2582 instead.
