PDF Annotation layer is rendered incorrectly

• Operating system and its version: macOS Sonoma 14.3
• PDF.js version: 4.1.407 [2e94511]
• Is a browser extension: No

Steps to reproduce the problem:

1. Open the first page of the PDF

What is the expected behavior? (add screenshot)

This also happens in Firefox -- there is an empty canvas in the annotation layer that hides the content below.

I noticed that MacOS's built-in PDF viewer behaves exactly like PDF.js, which makes me think that it might be a problem with the PDF itself?

It works in Adobe Reader.
