cPanel installation issues

The instructions for the cPanel installation tell me to

cd /public_html/[subdomain you wish to install monica on]
git clone https://github.com/monicahq/monica.git

I chose 'monica' as subdomain, and my hoster maps subdomains to folders, so I simply did the second step, which generated said 'Monica' folder.

The next step instructs me to

cd /var/www/monica

but this folder does not exist, could it be that I should cd to /public_html/monica?
