To readers:

As they said, their code is an experimental quality.
I don't say any recommendations for their code.
In some cases, you may lose your coin. Especially using taproot transactions.

It's just my thought because I'm not a controller of the Monacoin.

One more thing.

Even though I don't touch the development of monad (a Golang based Monacoin node implementation)...

I heard that the core-0.21 equivalent version of monad will be soon.
AFAIK, it won't activate Taproot in both Mainnet and Testnet. But it will do on Signet.

So I recommend using the next release of monad if you want to try Taproot on the Monacoin based chain.

I'll add a link to monad from the official web site monacoin.org if the new release was available.

We're going to prepare a monacoinproject version of core-0.21.
(Days of the next week are a holiday in Japan. So we may do some more work. ... but Don't trust! :-)

Its chainparams will be fit to a new release of monad, not @monacoin-core versions.

monad の仕様はmonasuite管轄です。ただし基本的にmonacoinprojectで動かしている仕様に準拠して私はアップデートを行っています。

同じようにmonacoinprojectに関してもpeopleに居る人間が決める事だとは思います。

ただしそれをマイナーやモナコインネットワーク使用者が合意するかは別問題。と言うのが私個人の考え方です。

正直というとjunkeyさんの英語は曖昧だけど(ネイティブの私に)、私の読み上げでしたら「これ以上は私の意見ですが、皆さん(モナコインのユーザー)の意思は規制できません。」という意味を表したかったと思います。

The reason is simple. Because you couldn't watch my offline work.
I have no reason to report my daily progress to you as you @monacoin-core isn't my boss, LOL.
It's not "in a hurry". Just you were blinded.

The aim of planned "core-0.21" is to enable "Signet".
Some cross-chain swap technologies require signet as their demonstration envs.
I think they're important techs to get liquidity to $MONA.

Taproot? Does it provide any merits to $MONA just now?

No, and Yes.
The trial will be done in the future because the Monacoin will be "Bitcoin based".
But it won't be done soon. One of the reasons is "Ordinals".

Just my opinion, the current Monacoin doesn't have special reasons to activate Taproot.
I know Bitcoin has reasons. And I feel Bitcoin is facing some issues around Taproot/Ordinals.

I thought so. This project has a lengthy history of making code changes offline and then publishing them as one big change/big release, instead of actively in public on a separate branch or repository. It's not something I agree with, but it is what it is.
