Some months ago we started to look for a tool for orchestrating data ingestion pipelines, avoiding moving from JavaScript ecosystem to the traditional Python or Java data ecosystems.

We have spoken to Google Cloud and they showed us both Data Fusion and Dataflow. None of them were easy to build our pipeline architecture.

Tired of looking for a solution, we've started to build ours, voidflow. A microservice orchestrator outside the data engineering ecosystem. But we know that build something from zero is often a bad choice because somewhere in the world already built it in a better way.

So we've found Moleculer. We started from Hello, World, then we tested it in Google Cloud Run, multiple repositories with a NATS connected, and some other things (Kubernetes only for Moleculer in GKE).

It's been a good fit for us and also a changing of paradigms for our back-end team. Instead of using patterns, Moleculer helps you to build decoupled architectures without slowing the team.
