How would that be different from buddylist? |
I'd rather just use the buddy list system. All following would do is take up more db space than necessary since you'd mostly follow those who are your buddies anyway. |
I should say I don't think about a completely new feature, but I say we should improve buddy system to make it a useful and efficient one. So we can add some useful features of other systems like follow system to our buddy system. For example there should be a notification when a buddy logs in, logs out, posts a thread etc.

I believe the user tag is accomplished with MentionMe plugin (users can tag each other in threads and posts). |
Logging in and out I don't think should be done. Big waste of db space. It isn't suppose to be like an instant messenger like Skype where you see their name show up as a popup. |
