in the following PR: #382, CI tests have been modified to run within a pre-built docker container containing pre-installed singularity which is time-consuming (4 minutes).

In this PR: #452 , this has been reverted since there was some permission issues when using google-chrome.

We may want to re-implement this in the future for faster CI checks.
