can a systray be added as a widget, i miss it from polybar, and in my opinion it is the projects biggest short coming when it comes to widgets.

I haven't used polybar, what does systray mean ?

It is a place for applets and applications like nm-applet. it is a part of X11, and you can get standalone systraies like Stallonetray. It has been implemented on most of the bars I have used like polybar, latte, and qtile’s built in panel

Ah, I see. I wouldn't be opposed to integrating it with cnx. But I'm not sure if I would have enough spare cycles to implement it myself.

Fair enough, it is a preference thing.
I was trying to look in to it myself but I had a hard time finding anything useful . And I am pretty new to rust and X11 programming, I am coming from python,
